The usage of ICT was undertaken by HPSEB by way of the development of the software “Shakti” and its utilization for High value Electrical Power transactions from Hydro-Electric project in HP, and its entitlements in various Central Sector Generating stations. This software has been provided with a seamless linkage with NRLDC, and HPSLDC for its access under public domain.
This project has been developed by State Power Controller unit of HPSEB with the association of DOEACC center (an autonomous Scientific Society of Department of Information Technology, ministry of communications & Information Technology, Government of India), Chandigarh and its branch office Shimla. Two programmers were hired from DOEACC to develop and automate the required processes.
