Objective Coverage & Beneficiary of the Project

The work at SLDC Control center involves real time decision making based on capturing and analyzing large amounts of data. This was not humanly possible, and, therefore, to make better decisions based on the data available at any given time, a need was felt for an automated process that could take care of the routine tasks like downloading data, converting it into a usable form and preparing reports based on this data.


Objective of the Project: Better handling and management of the data available from various sources, and processing of this data to generate the required reports with minimum human intervention.

Coverage (Geographical): Whole Pradesh and neighbouring sates of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi constituting the Northern Region Power Committee (NRPC).

Beneficiary of the Project: Government of Himachal Pradesh and all categories of consumers of electricity in the Pradesh including the member states of NRPC.
